The character of Wandsworth
The one-way system around Ram Street and Fairfield Street sends through-traffic away from the front of Southside, so a car collecting there waits on a side road and comes round on request. West Hill carries the A3 in a steady stream at most hours, and the junction with Trinity Road is the one that decides whether a Heathrow run starts smoothly or not. Terraced streets off Garratt Lane have permit parking only.
- The car holds on a side street near Southside and comes to the entrance on your call.
- Streets off Trinity Road and Garratt Lane are permit-controlled outside a few loading windows.
- The Congestion Charge zone does not reach Wandsworth; the ULEZ still applies here.
- Fairfield Street and Ram Street form the core of the one-way system around Southside.
- Resident bays near Wandsworth Common are enforced during the day; the car waits further out.
