The character of Woking
Woking's centre is compact and largely pedestrianised around Commercial Way and the Peacocks centre, with the through traffic pushed onto Victoria Way and the ring road instead. The station sits at the hub of that ring road, and its forecourt fills quickly at commuter peaks. Business park roads off Church Street East and Albert Drive are wide and easy to work, while the older residential streets toward Horsell keep tighter, more considerate access.
- Woking station forecourt is busy at commuter peaks; we hold clear of the rank and come forward.
- Commercial Way and the Peacocks centre are pedestrianised; the car waits on Victoria Way instead.
- Business park roads off Church Street East allow easy kerbside waiting; a building number speeds up the meet.
- Horsell and Mount Hermon keep narrower residential streets; the car often holds on the closest main road.
