The waterfront: Pier Head, the Strand and cruise calls
The Royal Liver Building, the Cunard Building and the Port of Liverpool Building stand in a row facing the river, with the cruise terminal immediately in front of them. When a ship is berthed, coach and taxi movement takes priority along that frontage and private cars are held back.
For a cruise embarkation or a disembarkation we agree the terminal access arrangements from the paperwork you hold, set down as close as the marshals allow and carry cases the rest of the way. It is not a place to improvise on the morning of a sailing.
The Royal Albert Dock has its own internal roads and very limited stopping near the arcades. Collections work best from the Salthouse Quay side or from the Strand end, and the walk between the two is under five minutes on the flat.
- Cruise terminal access agreed from your own documentation
- Albert Dock collections made from Salthouse Quay or the Strand
- Cases carried where marshalling prevents a close set-down
