The M32 spur and the central zone
Almost everything arriving from London, Wales or the Midlands comes down the M32. It delivers you to the eastern edge of the centre near Cabot Circus, from where Temple Way and the Bearpit roundabout distribute traffic. Four miles sounds trivial; in the morning peak it is not.
The clean-air zone covers the central area including Temple Meads, the harbourside and much of the retail core. Standards are set by vehicle type and published openly. We confirm the assigned car meets them at the point of booking rather than raising it later.
Within the zone, several movements are unavailable to cars: parts of the Old City are pedestrianised, and the bus and cycle priority around Baldwin Street and the centre promenade removes some obvious turns. The approach is planned as carefully as the route.
- M32 timings checked against the appointment, not the average
- Compliance with the central zone confirmed at booking
- Approach and departure planned separately in the Old City
