The character of Regent Street
Regent Street itself carries heavy bus priority and very little casual car access during the day, with the curve making it hard to judge sightlines at speed. Air Street and the lanes just off Piccadilly Circus give the steadiest holding points at the southern end. The northern end near All Souls is calmer and easier for a scheduled collection outside shopping hours.
- Regent Street closes to cars entirely on selected Sundays for pedestrian events — we check the calendar.
- Air Street is the steadiest holding point near the Piccadilly Circus end.
- The northern stretch near Langham Place is calmer and easier for a scheduled pickup.
- Weekend family shopping brings prams and extra kerbside time — we allow for it.
