The character of Raynes Park
Coombe Lane and West Barnes Lane carry most of the local traffic, both narrowing near their junctions and busy at school drop-off and pick-up times. The A3 runs close by to the west, reached quickly from Bushey Road, and gives the fastest route north or south for most journeys. Parking near the station is metered on the approach roads, so cars generally wait a short distance back and come forward on request.
- The car waits off Coombe Lane during the school run and comes forward once the road clears.
- Streets near the station are metered; the car holds a short distance back on request.
- The ULEZ boundary runs well beyond Raynes Park, so it applies to every journey we quote from here.
- The level crossing at Motspur Park can add a short wait when a train is due.
