The character of Newham
Stratford's roads around the Olympic Park and the Westfield centre are wide and modern but busy with pedestrians during events. Canning Town and the Royal Docks have a newer, still-evolving road layout around the airport and ExCeL, occasionally confusing older satellite navigation systems. East Ham and Plaistow keep an older, tighter street pattern, with the Barking Road corridor carrying most of the through traffic.
- ExCeL and Olympic Park events fill nearby parking fast; we agree a collection point beforehand.
- The Royal Docks' newer roads occasionally confuse older navigation systems.
- London City's short check-in window means the run is timed to the flight, not a fixed hour.
- ULEZ covers the whole borough and is accounted for in the quotation.
