The character of Weston-super-Mare
The seafront and the Grove Park area carry the heaviest visitor traffic, especially in summer and around bank holidays, when the promenade itself can be slow-moving. The town centre behind it is a conventional grid with reasonable short-stay parking. Uphill and Kewstoke to the north are quieter, with a more residential, wooded feel than the front suggests.
- The seafront and Grove Park slow considerably on fine weekends and through summer holidays.
- Town-centre streets away from the front have reasonable short-stay parking.
- Uphill and Kewstoke to the north are quieter and more residential than the seafront itself.
- The M5 at junction 21 is the direct route to Bristol Airport, a genuinely short transfer.
