The character of Tottenham
Tottenham High Road carries heavy traffic for most of its length, particularly around the stadium and Bruce Grove, where bus and pedestrian activity add to the congestion. On match days, an extensive controlled zone closes streets around the ground for several hours either side of kick-off. Away from the High Road, the residential streets toward Downhills Park and Lordship Lane are calmer, with reasonable kerb space for a waiting car.
- Match days close a large area around the stadium — the meeting point is agreed well outside it.
- Tottenham Hale offers a direct rail link to Stansted, useful for connecting journeys.
- The High Road carries heavy traffic through most of the day around Bruce Grove.
- Residential streets toward Downhills Park are calmer for a longer wait.
