The character of Holloway
Holloway Road itself is wide but heavily trafficked, with bus lanes for much of its length and limited scope for a private car to wait. London Metropolitan University's buildings sit along it, adding student pedestrian activity at peak times. The streets toward Highbury Fields and Camden Road are calmer and offer more realistic pickup points, particularly for evening collections.
- Holloway Road's bus lanes rule out casual waiting — side streets are used instead.
- Match days at the Emirates Stadium bring restrictions for around an hour either side of kick-off.
- Streets toward Highbury Fields are calmer and better suited to a longer wait.
- University term time adds pedestrian activity along Holloway Road at peak hours.
