The character of Epping
The High Street is long and fairly narrow, with parking on both sides that fills quickly on market days. Cars generally hold in one of the public car parks just off the street rather than at the kerb itself. Epping Forest borders the town closely on the eastern side, and roads through it are narrow, tree-lined and unlit after dark, which we factor into any evening collection from that side of town.
- The High Street fills on market days — the car holds in a nearby public car park.
- Forest-edge collections after dark carry extra time for narrow, unlit lanes.
- Epping station forecourt is used for Central line connections.
- North Weald pickups are agreed by exact gate, since the airfield site is unsigned from the road.
