The character of Harlow
The Town Centre is largely pedestrianised, built around a market square that a car cannot reach directly, so we hold in one of the surrounding car parks and walk in if needed. Newhall, by contrast, is built on a traditional street grid with proper kerbside parking outside most homes. The wider road network, dense with roundabouts by design, takes a little longer to learn than most towns its size but rewards it with genuinely quick cross-town journeys once you know the sequence.
- The Town Centre market square is pedestrian only — the car holds in a nearby car park.
- Newhall pickups use standard kerbside parking outside the address.
- School-run traffic peaks earlier here than in most towns, planned around where possible.
- Stansted collection times carry a shorter margin, since the M11 run is genuinely quick.
