The character of Wanstead
The High Street and the Green carry Wanstead's main local traffic, generally light and easy to navigate outside school hours. Wanstead Park has no vehicle access beyond its edges, and the surrounding streets offer straightforward standing space. The A12, a short distance away, is the main route for anything heading toward central London or the M11.
- The Green has limited stopping space during the day; the car holds on a nearby residential road.
- Wanstead Park has no vehicle access beyond its edges.
- Wanstead's streets rarely hold much traffic outside the school run.
- The A12 near the Redbridge roundabout is the main factor for timing.
