The character of Sunningdale
Sunningdale's roads are wooded, residential and largely private in feel, with the golf courses themselves occupying a huge share of the land either side of the railway line. The A30 carries the only meaningful traffic, and the village centre is small enough that a car can generally wait close to any address without needing a fallback spot. Pine trees rather than buildings define most sightlines here.
- Golf club collections use the clubhouse forecourt where the club permits it.
- Village addresses are quiet and residential; the car waits directly outside without issue.
- Royal Ascot week brings overflow traffic from the racecourse onto the A30 nearby.
- The station forecourt is small — we confirm the exact meeting spot for rail arrivals in advance.
