The character of Romford
The market square and the surrounding pedestrianised streets sit at the centre of the town, closed to general traffic on market days and busy with shoppers the rest of the week. Cars hold in one of the multi-storeys near the Liberty centre rather than at the square itself. Gidea Park, to the east, is quieter and more suburban, with straightforward on-street collection outside most addresses.
- The market square is closed to traffic on market days — the car holds near the Liberty centre.
- Gidea Park collections use standard on-street parking outside the address.
- The A12 gyratory is avoided at peak times where the destination allows.
- Elizabeth line connections at the station use the short-stay drop-off bay.
