The character of Newry
Hill Street and the streets around the cathedral are narrow and busy with shoppers through the day, so cars generally wait a short distance off rather than directly outside. The Newry Canal towpath area is quieter and easier for a private collection. The A1 itself, effectively a dual carriageway from the edge of the city, is where journey time is really decided rather than the streets in the centre.
- Hill Street stays busy through the day — the car holds nearby and closes on your call.
- The Canal Quarter is quieter and generally easier for a scheduled private collection.
- The A1 gives clean, fast access north and south with no unpredictable town centre section.
- Cross-border bookings carry no set delay at the frontier but we still allow a short margin.
