The character of Monmouth
The town centre sits on high ground above the Monnow, with narrow streets around Agincourt Square and Monnow Street that a saloon manages comfortably. The fortified Monnow Bridge restricts modern traffic to one lane, which we work around rather than treat as an obstacle. Cars generally wait in the Chippenham Mead car park or near the Shire Hall rather than on the square itself.
- Monnow Bridge restricts traffic to one lane — we plan the approach around it.
- Cars wait at Chippenham Mead or near the Shire Hall rather than the square.
- Monmouth has no railway station — Abergavenny and Chepstow are the nearest.
- School-run pickups follow each school's own gate and timing arrangement.
