The character of Marble Arch
The Marble Arch gyratory carries constant traffic from four directions, with the arch itself an island reachable only on foot. Oxford Street's pedestrianised western stretch means cars cannot approach directly from that side during shopping hours. Edgware Road runs steadily but narrows near its junction with the Marylebone Road. We generally hold on a side street off the Bayswater Road and move round once you are ready.
- The gyratory has several distinct waiting points — we confirm the exact corner in advance.
- Oxford Street's western stretch is pedestrian-heavy at peak shopping hours.
- Edgware Road narrows near the Marylebone Road junction at commuter times.
- We generally hold on a side street off Bayswater Road rather than the junction itself.
