Hotel collections along Bath Road
The Bath Road hotel cluster handles a very large share of the airport's overnight traffic, from crew layovers to conference delegates to travellers on early departures. Most of these hotels have their own forecourts, and the ones that do not have a marshalled lay-by. Either way the chauffeur waits in the car park rather than on the A4, which is a fast dual carriageway with no stopping.
Guests are met inside where the hotel allows it, which is worth arranging in advance for anyone travelling with several cases or at four in the morning. We ask for the hotel name in full when a booking is placed, because several of the properties along that stretch have similar names and two are on opposite sides of the road.
For hotels at Terminal 4 and Terminal 5, the arrangement is different again and follows the terminal access roads rather than Bath Road. The chauffeur will confirm which entrance is being used the night before.
