The character of Glenrothes
Glenrothes is built almost entirely around roundabouts, with the town centre, the Kingdom Centre and the surrounding business parks each reached by a direct spur rather than through streets. There is no railway station within the town itself, so a car meeting a train uses Markinch, a short drive to the north. Balbirnie Park, on the eastern edge, has its own parking and a quieter, more rural character than the town centre.
