The character of Chingford
Chingford Mount and the roads toward the station carry the area's main traffic, generally lighter than inner east London. Streets closer to the forest edge, around Pole Hill and Connaught Water, are quiet and largely residential, with parking rarely a problem. The North Circular, a short drive south, is the main constraint for any onward journey.
