The character of Bradford
The centre is compact and largely one-way around City Hall and the Alhambra, with Little Germany's narrow lanes better suited to a car holding still than circling. Forster Square and the Interchange both have short-stay space nearby but nothing directly at the kerb, so cars wait a street back and move in on request. Manningham Lane and Thornton Road carry the bulk of traffic in and out, and both slow sharply once the schools finish.
- Cars hold a street back from Forster Square and move in when you call.
- Little Germany's lanes are narrow — collection points are agreed in advance.
- The Clean Air Zone charges older commercial and private hire vehicles, not private cars.
- Match-day pickups near Valley Parade use a hold point off Manningham Lane.
