The character of Barnes
Castelnau, the main road in from Hammersmith Bridge, is the one genuinely busy route through Barnes; the rest of the village is quiet lanes with limited through-traffic by design. Barnes Common adds a further buffer to the south, meaning most of the area feels removed from the arterial roads nearby. The Terrace by the river floods occasionally at very high tides, which we check before routing a pickup there.
