The character of Abingdon
Abingdon's centre is compact, with the old Abbey Buildings and the County Hall Museum sitting close to a Market Place that keeps a genuinely historic footprint. The bridge over the Thames narrows traffic at busy times, and the streets nearest the abbey have limited kerbside space. Milton Park and Culham, by contrast, are wide, modern and simple to work, purpose-built for the science and business tenants based there.
- Abingdon has had no railway station since the 1960s; the nearest is Radley or Didcot Parkway.
- Abbey Buildings and Market Place area has limited kerbside space for waiting.
- Milton Park and Culham pickups use the site's own forecourt where access allows.
- Abingdon Bridge narrows sharply — we route around it at busier hours where possible.
