Three ways in
The southern Cotswolds around Tetbury, Cirencester and Bibury are best reached by leaving the M4 at junction 15 or 17 and heading north. This is also the natural approach when a journey continues from Bath.
The central villages, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water, Northleach and Stow-on-the-Wold, follow from M40 junction 8 and the A40 through Witney. It is the most direct road from central London and the one used for most bookings.
The northern Cotswolds around Chipping Campden, Broadway and Blockley are taken from M40 junction 15 and the A429 or the A44 through Moreton-in-Marsh. This is the longest of the three approaches and the most attractive.
