The character of Wokingham
The Market Place and the streets immediately around it are narrow, part-pedestrianised and dense with independent shops, which leaves little room for a car to wait directly outside. Just a short drive out, Winnersh Triangle and the newer business parks are wide, roundabout-led and simple to navigate. Cantley Park and Dinton Pastures on the edge of town bring weekend leisure traffic that the town-centre roads rarely see.
- Market Place streets are narrow and part-pedestrianised — the car holds a short walk away.
- Winnersh Triangle pickups use the site forecourt, the more reliable option for airport work.
- Weekend leisure traffic around Dinton Pastures rarely affects the town centre itself.
- A short delay from market stalls or deliveries is built into town-centre timing as standard.
