The character of Uxbridge
The centre is anchored by a pedestrianised High Street and the Chimes shopping centre, with the tube and bus stations sitting close together at its northern end. Traffic around the Swakeleys roundabout, where the A40 meets the approach into town, moves quickly but backs up sharply at peak times. Brunel University's campus has its own access roads and visitor parking, which makes it a straightforward pickup once the chauffeur has the correct building name.
- The tube and bus forecourt is for setting down only; the car waits on a nearby street.
- Brunel University's campus has visitor parking; we confirm the building before the chauffeur arrives.
- The Swakeleys roundabout is the main pinch point; we route around it at peak times where possible.
- Uxbridge falls inside the expanded ULEZ boundary, reflected in the quotation you receive.
