The character of Rickmansworth
The high street is compact and manageable, with reasonable kerbside space outside most shops. The Aquadrome and the surrounding lakes draw walkers and families on fine weekends, adding gentle seasonal traffic to the roads nearby. Streets closer to the Chilterns edge, toward Chorleywood and Croxley Green, are narrower and more rural in character than the town centre itself.

- Aquadrome pickups get busier on warm weekends, when the park is at its fullest.
