The character of Hinckley
The Crescent development in the centre is pedestrianised and built around a cinema and restaurants, so cars wait on Castle Street or Regent Street rather than in the shopping area itself. Hinckley's older streets toward the market are narrower, and the M69 and A5 junctions on the town's edge carry heavy commercial traffic through the day, given the manufacturing and distribution base nearby.
- The Crescent is pedestrianised; cars wait on Castle Street or Regent Street.
- Factory and manufacturing site pickups use the site's own gate and access road.
- The M69 to M6 interchange is the main risk point for a longer journey.
- Birmingham Airport runs benefit from an early departure given the M42's own peak pattern.
