The character of Henley-on-Thames
Hart Street and Bell Street form the commercial spine, both narrow and largely double-yellow-lined, so through traffic and kerbside waiting compete for the same few yards. The bridge carries two-way traffic on a slight camber that catches larger vehicles at low speed. During Regatta week much of the town centre closes to cars entirely, and we hold on the Fawley or Rotherfield side and walk the last stretch if the booking requires it.
