The character of Hampton Wick
The High Street is narrow and largely residential, backing onto Bushy Park on one side and the river on the other, which leaves little room for a car to wait without holding up traffic. Church Grove and the streets nearer the park are quieter and better suited to a standing pickup. Hampton Court Bridge, at the southern end, queues with sightseeing traffic on a fine weekend and after any event at the Palace.
- The car waits on a side street off the High Street rather than blocking it directly.
- Hampton Court Bridge and Kingston Bridge both queue after events at the Palace.
- Hampton Wick lies inside the ULEZ boundary, accounted for in the fare we quote.
- Streets nearer Bushy Park's Kingston Gate are quieter and better suited to a standing pickup.
