The character of Beaconsfield
The Old Town's high street is lined with Georgian coaching-inn frontages and narrows noticeably at its western end, with limited waiting space directly outside the older buildings. The New Town, around the station, is wider and more modern, built for cars from the outset. Wilton Park, a former government and business site on the town's edge, adds a further pocket of purpose-built access.
- Old Town collections hold on a wider side street, since the high street itself narrows sharply.
- New Town and station pickups run straight onto the M40 without needing the coaching-road approach.
- Bekonscot Model Village has its own car park used for family collections.
- Wilton Park business pickups use the site forecourt where site access permits it.
