The character of Penzance
Market Jew Street and the town centre have moderate short-stay parking, with the older lanes toward Chapel Street narrowing considerably. The harbourside and the Scillonian ferry terminal have their own dedicated access, separate from the general town traffic. The coast road toward St Michael's Mount and Marazion is more open but exposed to weather off the bay.
- The Scillonian ferry and heliport transfers are timed with real margin against check-in.
- Chapel Street and the older lanes narrow considerably — the car waits nearby.
- St Michael's Mount transfers use the Marazion causeway car park, tide-dependent for the walk across.
- Given the distances involved, airport transfers are quoted with honest, generous margin.
