The character of Lisburn
The centre runs around Bow Street and Market Square, pedestrian-priority in the middle of the day and tight for a car at any time. Lagan Valley Island, the civic and conference building by the river, has its own car park and is the easier point for a business pickup. Residential estates toward Hillhall and Dunmurry are straightforward kerbside, while the M1 junctions either side of the city are where the real time is won or lost.
- Market Square and Bow Street are tightest on Tuesday and Saturday market days.
- Lagan Valley Island has its own car park, the easiest point for a business collection.
- Balmoral Show weeks bring heavy traffic near the showgrounds — extra time is built in.
- Residential streets off the Hillsborough Road allow straightforward kerbside waiting.
