The character of Cookstown
Main Street itself is wide and generally easy for a car, though angled parking along much of its length narrows the usable carriageway at busy times. The side streets running off it are quieter and simpler for a scheduled wait. Toward Lough Neagh, the roads are rural and quiet, a different pace altogether from the town's own broad avenue.
